F862, similar to IEC EPGM203, is a sheet material made by impregnating alkali-free glass fiber mat with heat-resistant resin and then hot-pressing it. Using alkali-free short-cut glass fiber mat as the reinforcing material, F863 made by impregnating it with epoxy adhesive and compressing, it have excellent mechanical properties and processability. They are commonly used to manufacture large electrical equipment (such as generator sets and transformers) as fasteners, mainly processed into screws, nuts, grooves, wedges, supports, and fixtures, used for securing the end of the windings of large steam turbine generators. This overcomes the creeping phenomenon that is prone to occur with metal fasteners, thereby significantly improving the reliability of large generators during operation.
