3842, similar to NEMA G11, made of glass fabric impregnated with epoxy resin, then heated into prepreg and rolling into the rod shape, finally put into the different diameters molds, under high temperature and pressure to cure into the rigid laminated rods. 3842 is similar to G10/FR4, with the addition of a higher operating temperature and some improved mechanical strength at elevated temperatures.
